Meet Tine Vandekerckhove, applications engineer, 33 years old, mother of two, and a six-year veteran Potatoholic. She is a bright mind who was looking for something tangible to be proud of after her first job, and she found it at Agristo.

It was the atmosphere that persuaded Tine to join Agristo, as the company made a pleasant impression on her. She made an excellent choice. The atmosphere is great, the colleagues are friendly even if you don't know them all, and the management makes an effort to bond with the employees. In short, it is a pleasant place to work. Families and little ones are included during the family days as well. Agristo has a strong focus on the family-like environment, “and that's not marketing, it's sincere.”
That atmosphere can be traced back to the fact that Agristo is a family business. The familial character is still there, according to Tine, even now that we are growing so much and no longer operating on the limited scale of a family business.

What does an IT expert do among the fries? A very important job, that’s what! Tine and her colleagues ensure that the tools used on the work floor are on point. They set up all the tools for employees to use. Tine’s mission is to ensure efficient production, improve it where possible and optimize it. IT may seem like a giant mystery to the uninitiated, but Tine and her colleagues’ work is crucial to Agristo’s operations.
When it comes to IT, Tine also gets a lot out of her work at Agristo. She has the opportunity to try lots of new things. Working in a modern facility means working with the latest systems, and she has the freedom to propose innovative ideas of her own. That responsibility and extra challenge is a big part of why Tine loves her job so much.
Growth and continued growth
When Tine started working at Agristo, the company was a lot smaller than it is today. That brand recognition has come with age, and there is something nice about “working at a well-known company”.
Agristo is not only growing as a company, it is also enabling growth. It is important to keep growing in a dynamic environment. “If you have no interest in taking on new projects or learning new tools, you will not feel at home here.
