We face a lot of challenges in the future, particularly concerning human capital.
A strong team
Agristo is strongly committed to innovation and renewal. This results in numerous projects for which we rely on a team of project engineers. Processing potatoes into fries and getting them to our customers chilled requires a lot of equipment. Production and packing lines, cold stores, automation and more—this is where our engineering team comes in. They are involved from A to Z: from study and design, purchase, fabrication and installation to maintenance and prevention.
Custom installations
Tuur Duchi is a project manager at Agristo with several large projects under his belt. He was in charge of our hashbrown line, for example. “There are many departments involved in such a large project. I often meet with our management board, but I am also frequently in the workplace where the installation will ultimately be built. I gather all the information to brief all the parties involved. Because we always work with custom installations, there are also many suppliers and external parties involved in such projects.”
Future challenges
“We face a lot of challenges in the future, particularly concerning human capital. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find technicians, drafters and technicians. At Agristo, we are also still looking for new colleagues, especially those with technical profiles, e.g. with a degree in industrial engineering or project development. We are literally building the future of Agristo, and there is more than enough work to go around!”
