Safety First: how we take care of our Potatoholics

At Agristo, safety is more than just a rule or a procedure. It’s part of who we are and how we interact with each other. Because when you take good care of yourself, you’re also taking care of the people around you. That’s the foundation of our We Care for You project: an initiative through which we tackle safety together and embed it into our daily work.

With We Care for You, we focus on building a culture where everyone feels responsible for each other’s safety. Whether you work in production or in the office, safety starts with yourself—but it doesn’t end there. Together, we make sure everyone can work with peace of mind and get home safely at the end of the day.

We Care for You Safety Principles

  • Nothing is worth endangering yourself or others

Safety always comes first, no matter what.

  • The only right thing to do is to address unsafe behavior

We help each other by making risks a topic we can openly discuss. Always with respect, always with care.

  • Talking safety, everyone's in charge

Everyone has the responsibility—and the right—to step in.

  • We take our time to take care

Working safely requires awareness and focus. That’s why we make space for it, every single day.

Safety is something we do together. You don’t just look out for yourself, but also for the colleague next to you. That’s what We Care for You is all about.

Here’s how we do it in Nazareth 🏭

At our Nazareth site, you can see We Care for You in action every single day. Safety is a shared responsibility for everyone. We take the time to keep each other sharp—and to offer support when needed.

Every morning, team leaders from different departments kick off the day with a short safety meeting. They share insights, discuss potential risks, and learn from each other’s experiences. This way, we make sure small points of attention don’t turn into bigger issues, and everyone stays informed about what’s going on.

These daily meetings aren’t just about safety; they also strengthen the team spirit. Everyone feels involved and valued. And you can tell: risks are reported more quickly, colleagues are more comfortable addressing each other, and together we build a safe work environment where everyone feels good.

At Agristo, safety isn’t just about rules and procedures—it’s about the people behind them. Together, we make sure safety isn’t something you have to do, but something you want to do. Because we genuinely care for each other 🦺.
